Cooper Receives William B. Graham Prize for Health Services Research

Dr. Lisa Cooper, professor in the Division of General Internal Medicine, was named the 2023 recipient of the William B. Graham Prize for Health Services Research from Baxter International Foundation and the Association of University Programs in Health Administration. This award recognizes an individual who has significantly increased the quality of or access to health service delivery worldwide through the development of insights and innovations that have (a) eliminated barriers to the education and prevention of noncommunicable diseases; (b) highlighted the importance of proper nutrition in underserved communities; (c) removed barriers to accessing clean water; and/or (d) produced innovative health solutions and technologies that increase access to quality care.

The prize was established to honor the late William B. Graham, long-time CEO of Baxter International and is the highest distinction that researchers in the health services field can achieve. Dr. Cooper was selected by an independent committee of past winners, distinguished academics and internationally recognized researchers and recognized at the Association of University Programs in Health Administration Annual Meeting.
