After completing a search that yielded several candidates, Kasey Hutchinson, CPC, CRC, CEMC has been named Director of A/R Operations, effective Monday, August 7. Her familiarity with the billing operation, the team supporting it, historical responsiveness to the DOM’s divisions and success in her previous roles made her an ideal candidate to take the reins and build upon the billing team’s many years of leadership under John Crockett.
Kasey joined the Department of Medicine in January 2011 as a Charge Entry Coordinator and has since held various roles involving coding, analytics and management, including serving as the interim Director of A/R Operations. She has had oversight of all special billing functions, reporting and Epic charge reconciliation, as well as served as the primary trainer for all new incoming providers for the last several years. Kasey also has developed or contributed to numerous billing processes that have been implemented across multiple School of Medicine professional fee billing departments.
Kasey is thrilled to be the next director and is already evaluating opportunities to build upon John’s successful work over the past years, as well as strengthen relationships with each division.
