Dr. David Hurwitz, assistant professor in the Division of Geriatric Medicine and Gerontology, was recently named medical director of the Beacham Center for Geriatric Medicine. The center provides expert primary care for seniors at the Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center with an interdisciplinary team offering a full range care including post-hospitalization referrals, treating fractures and falls, frailty, confusion and memory problems. Under Dr. Hurwitz's direction, the center will expand the clinic on the JHBMC campus, create a larger provider work room and add a space for older adult and family counseling.
