Dr. Risha Irvin, associate professor in the Division of Infectious Diseases and vice chair for diversity, inclusion and health equity for the DOM, was appointed the health equity program director for Johns Hopkins Health Systems. In this role, she will coordinate and strengthen the health system’s efforts to identify and address health and health care inequities to prepare the organization to meet external health equity reporting requirements. This work is a collaboration between the Office of Diversity, Inclusion and Health Equity and the Armstrong Institute for Patient Safety and Quality.
