Shifflett and Raman Named Division Administrators

We are pleased to announce our newest division administrators: Clinton Shifflett and Anu Raman. Clinton Shifflett, MBA, was named the associate administrator of the Divisions of Bayview Internal Medicine and Rheumatology effective November 27. Anu Raman, MHA, began as the assistant administrator of the Division of Occupational & Environmental Medicine on November 29.

Clinton Shifflett earned a bachelor’s degree in biology before joining Hopkins to complete a Master’s of Business Administration in finance in 2002. He began working at JHU as a senior research technician and then as a laboratory manager in the Department of Oncology. While earning his master’s degree, he began working as a financial analyst and joined the DOM in the Division of Nephrology in 2005. Over the past 18 years, Clint has held various leadership roles across the Department including administrative manager, financial manager and assistant administrator for the DOM Bayview Chairman’s Office. In 2020, he was named the DOM’s associate director of finance where he led focused integration across the DOM including template management, expense reduction and leadership administration workgroups to improve efficiency and reduce costs. Clint is also a past recipient the Bayview Outstanding Staff/Chairman’s Award.

Anu Raman joins us from the University of Maryland Medical Center Department of Pediatrics where she served as division administrator beginning in 2020. She earned a bachelor’s degree in education in exercise science and health promotion from the Florida Atlantic University. She then earned a Master’s of Health Administration from the University of Florida and is currently working toward a juris doctorate from the University of Baltimore. After completing her master’s degree, she spent two years as an administrative fellow at the Columbia University Medical Center & Westchester Medical Center and then became manager of the Division of Pediatric Urology at Columbia University Medical Center before being promoted to manager of faculty practice affairs and HR for the Department of Urology. As division administrator of the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Maryland/Faculty Practice Inc., she oversaw operations, process improvement, human capital management and finances of three clinical divisions while partnering with other departments and community outreach programs to develop value-based models to healthcare delivery. Anu is a Certified Medical Practice Executive of the American College of Medical Practice Executives and a Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional.
