We are pleased to announce that Andrew Byrd will serve as the division administrator for the Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes & Metabolism and the Division of Nephrology.
Andrew has over fifteen years of experience working in academic medicine at both Yale University and Johns Hopkins University. During his tenure, he has helped facilitate the development of multi-disciplinary specialty clinics and Precision Medicine Centers of Excellence. Andrew earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Maryland Robert H. Smith School of Business. He began his professional career in Baltimore as a fixed income portfolio assistant at T. Rowe Price before serving as assistant administrator for the Department of Ob/Gyn & Reproductive Sciences at Yale University. In 2015, he joined Hopkins as the division administrator for gynecologic pathology and GI in the Department of Pathology. He then joined the DOM as division administrator in the Division of Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine in 2017.
