OIE assesses sexual misconduct, discrimination and harassment complaints concerning students, staff and faculty, and is committed to handling reports of sexual misconduct with discretion and sensitivity.
University employees designated as "responsible employees," such as all non-confidential supervisory employees, have an obligation to report information about possible sexual misconduct, discrimination and harassment to OIE. They must promptly report all known relevant information, including but not limited to:
- The name of the complainant, respondent, and any witnesses;
- The date, time, and location of the misconduct; and
- Any other pertinent facts. OIE will then determine next steps.
