2024-25 U.S. News & World Report Best Hospitals by Specialty Rankings

Once again, The Johns Hopkins Hospital was named one of the top 20 hospitals in the nation on the U.S. News & World Report 2024–25 Honor Roll. The hospital was also ranked #1 in Maryland, the Baltimore metropolitan area and the mid-Atlantic region. Twelve medical specialties ranked among the top 10 of their respective fields including six from the DOM. U.S. News also ranks hospitals by region and state. Sibley Memorial Hospital and Suburban Hospital achieved top 10 rankings overall in their respective metropolitan and regional areas. In addition, Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center was recognized as a Best Regional Hospital for Equitable Access for excellent outcomes among underserved communities.

 Congratulations to the DOM divisions ranked:

  • Cardiology & Heart Surgery – the Division of Cardiology rose from #13 to #10
  • Diabetes & Endocrinology – the Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes & Metabolism rose from #27 to #12
  • Gastroenterology & GI Surgery – the Division of Gastroenterology rose from #14 to #6
  • Geriatrics – the Division of Geriatric Medicine & Gerontology rose from # 14 to #7
  • Pulmonology – the Division of Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine rose from #11 to #7
  • Rheumatology – the Division of Rheumatology remained at #1
