Brandon LaCour, medical training program administrator in the Division of Geriatric Medicine & Gerontology, was selected for the Leadership Council of the American Geriatrics Education Administrator-Coordinator Team (AGE-ACT).
AGE-ACT is led in collaboration with the American Geriatrics Society (AGS) and its purpose is to foster coordinator colleagues' professional development and to support innovation in Geriatrics Fellowship training programs. The leadership council organizes and leads an annual AGS pre-conference for geriatrics fellowship program coordinators and meets several times annually for ongoing professional development. Brandon had to submit an application with a program director letter of support, and candidates for the leadership council are required to demonstrate institutional excellence as well as commitment to the AGE-ACT with prior AGS attendance and engagement at the pre-conference. His appointment to the leadership council officially began on July 1, 2024.
