Artificial Intelligence (AI) at the Desktop

We now have access to AI meeting assistants that are approved for work meetings, as described at it.johnshopkins.edu/AI/meeting-assistants/

  • Teams AI assistant – coming soon

Note: for JHM work, the jhjhm.zoom.us instance of Zoom should be used; other Zoom connections should not be used in the clinical/adjacent context of the DOM

There is an AI companion for Microsoft Office suite M365, called Copilot, described on this IT@JH page about Copilot. Please note:

  • M365 is not the same as the local suite of Microsoft applications you may be familiar with – read carefully before making this transition.
  • Copilot for M365, secured with JHED credentials, is compatible with HIPAA and costs $365 per user annually; it is orderable from the Johns Hopkins Software Catalog.
  • The free version, Copilot on the web, is NOT compatible with HIPAA and should not be used for JHM work.
