Clark Named Assistant Director of Human Resources

As part of a plan to modernize its Human Resources function to better serve departments and prepare for changes that come with the Sightline implementation, the School of Medicine is transitioning the DOM’s Human Resources Manager position into an Assistant Director of Human Resources. We are pleased to announce that Michael Clark has been selected, effective November 1, 2024, and will lead the DOM HR team in a strategic and proactive way to address the changing needs of the Department.

Michael has been with Johns Hopkins University for 25 years, starting his Hopkins career as part of the School of Medicine Human Resources team. Since joining the DOM in 2006 as an HR Generalist, Michael has been a familiar face and a go-to HR resource for faculty and staff. During his DOM tenure, he was instrumental in centralizing the HR practice across the Department and building the effective team structure that we have today. He was promoted to HR Manager in 2016 and over the past eight years has managed the HR operations for the department with twelve HR representatives supporting more than 3,200 faculty, staff and trainees.

Please join us in congratulating Michael on this well-deserved promotion.
