Walston Receives Lifetime Achievement Award

Dr. Jeremy Walston, the Raymond and Anna Lublin Professor of Geriatric Medicine and Gerontology, has been honored with the 2025 Lifetime Achievement Award by the International Conference on Frailty & Sarcopenia Research (ICFSR). This prestigious award will be presented at the 15th annual ICFSR meeting in Toulouse, France in March, and recognizes Dr. Walston’s extraordinary contributions to understanding the biological basis of frailty syndrome and developing tools to assess frailty in clinical settings.

Dr. Walston’s work as director of the Johns Hopkins Human Aging Project, deputy director of the Division of Geriatric Medicine and Gerontology and co-director of the Biology of Healthy Aging program has been instrumental in shaping the future of aging research. His dedication to identifying the biological mechanisms that contribute to frailty as well as those that promote resiliency and healthy aging has led to groundbreaking research focused on improving the lives of older adults.
