Dr. Matt McNabney, professor in the Division of Geriatric Medicine & Gerontology, was named chair of the Medical Leadership Committee at the annual meeting of the National PACE Association. He will serve a two-year term leading the committee that serves to guide the vision and strategy for medical directors and providers at PACE programs across the country. Currently, there are currently 177 PACE organizations in the U.S. serving 79,000 older adults. Growth in the US and Maryland is accelerating.
Matt is the medical director of Hopkins ElderPlus (HEP), which serves 160 older adults who are at high risk for hospitalization and nursing home placement. HEP is located on the Bayview campus and accepts referrals of high risk older adults who wish to stay in the their community setting.
