DOM Responsible Conduct of Research

The DOM will host a hybrid Responsible Conduct of Research sessions on Friday, June 20, 2025.

To engage in human subjects research (HSR), all personnel (faculty, staff, and trainees) must maintain certification in Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR) training - one component of which is attendance at a departmental/divisional interactive session on RCR, as prescribed by the JHU Office of Research Integrity (ORI). This session will count toward the SOM's Responsible Conduct of Research Program departmental training requirement one component of which is attendance (at least once every 4 years) at a departmental/divisional interactive session on RCR.

Dr. Stu Ray, professor in the Division of Infectious Diseases, will deliver a talk titled “Resources and principles-based requirements to enable secure and responsible use of AI in human subjects research” which will cover issues around (1) data acquisition and management; (2) secure and ethical data use; and (3) safe and responsible research environments.

This will be hybrid-session; however, in-person attendance is encouraged.

Friday, June 20, 2025 at 8-9:30 a.m. in Hurd Hall at JHH

Please note that attendance will need to be recorded (first name/ last name/ JHED ID) for reporting to the Office of Research Integrity.
