Office 365 is being deployed to all Johns Hopkins managed computers to replace older versions of the Office Suite.
Deployment Schedule:
- Start Date: July 15, 2025
- End Date: August 12, 2025
- Deployment Windows: Tuesdays at 2:30 AM for each group
- Targeted Systems: Applies to Johns Hopkins Managed Private Systems.
Johns Hopkins utilizes Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policy management to minimize data loss across our organization. DLP controls which devices have access to various services and data sources. DLP will block access to most Microsoft 365 desktop applications (Outlook, OneDrive, Teams, Power BI Desktop, Word, etc..) for systems that are not managed by the Johns Hopkins IT department.
We encourage everyone to use JH IT-managed devices whenever accessing Microsoft 365 resources.
Copilot is a Microsoft AI tool that serves the enterprise. There are multiple versions of Copilot, including the free Copilot on the web version available to all users and Copilot for M365, available for a fee.
