JHUSOM IEE Winter Teaching Camp
The Institute for Excellence in Education (IEE), in partnership with the Office of Faculty, is pleased to announce the JHUSOM IEE Winter Teaching Camp, an interactive and engaging learning experience, featuring both small and large group activities and discussions, with new topics for 2026.
Teaching Camp brings together top medical and biomedical educator faculty and learners of all levels to share ideas, refine teaching techniques, and learn new methods. Winter Camp is all virtual.
When: Fri., Jan. 23, 2026, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. ET
Where: Virtual via Zoom
Who: Full and part-time faculty, students, and trainees are all encouraged to attend
This will be a tuition-remission eligible program for faculty; the fee will be waived for JHUSOM medical and graduate students, residents, and postdoctoral fellows.
Foundations of Educational Leadership
Fri., Feb. 13, 2026, 8:30 a.m. - Noon via Zoom. This course is an introduction to key leadership competencies for medical educators. Participants will design their own leadership development plan that aligns with a strategic vision for their long-term career advancement and short-term goals within medical education. 2026 IEE Education Conference and Celebration
The 2026 Medical and Biomedical Education Conference and Celebration is on Fri., April 10, 2026, in the Armstrong Medical Education Building.
The conference, co-sponsored by the Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing, Bloomberg School of Public Health, and the SOM Office of the Vice Dean for Education The conference will bring together educators to share ideas, educational research, and innovations, to learn from each other and guests, promote a community of educators, and celebrate our great teachers and educators.
