Goldstein Named Recipient of Mary McCormick Meyer Endowed Fund in Diabetes Education

The Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism hosted a celebratory lunch on August 27 to thank Mary McCormick Meyer for her $1,000,000 gift to establish the Mary McCormick Meyer Endowed Fund in Diabetes Education and to recognize Adena Goldstein, RN, BSN, CDCES (pictured left), senior clinical nurse in the Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes & Metabolism, as the first nurse educator to benefit from this gift. Dr. Tom Donner (pictured right), associate professor in the Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes & Metabolism, gave remarks about the importance of the nurse educator role for diabetes patients and the transformative impact of this gift. Mary Meyer has been a longtime donor to the Diabetes Center.
