Invitation to Participate: Study on Clinician Use of AI in Diagnosis

I am conducting a research study on how clinicians interact with AI-generated diagnostic suggestions.  I have obtained your contact information as part of the listserv Hopkins DOM. If you are a practicing clinician, I would like to invite you to participate.

The study involves a five-question online/electronic survey regarding your attitudes towards AI, followed by six brief clinical scenarios with questions about your diagnostic thinking. After interacting with the AI outputs, you will take a second brief survey. It takes approximately 20-30 minutes to complete and is entirely anonymous. Your input will help us understand how AI tools can be better designed to support clinical decision-making.

You are eligible to learn more and participate if you are:

  • A physician, physician assistant (PA), or nurse practitioner (NP) — including students and trainees
  • Age 18 or older
  • Located in the United States
