Pahwa and Shaw Receive 2026 Alliance Awards

The Alliance for Academic Internal Medicine honored Drs. Amit Pahwa and Katie Shaw with 2026 Alliance Awards. They will be honored during Academic Internal Medicine Week 2026, held April in Seattle.

Dr. Amit Pahwa, associate professor in the Division of Hospital Medicine at JHH, received the Clerkship Directors in Internal Medicine (CDIM) Charles H. Griffith, III, MD, Educational Research Award. This award recognizes a CDIM member who has contributed significantly to educational research related to undergraduate medical education.

Dr. Katie Shaw, instructor in the Division of General Internal Medicine, received the Medicine-Pediatrics Program Directors Association (MPPDA) Brendan P. Kelly, MD, Award, which is presented to an Associate Program Director of a Medicine-Pediatrics Residency Program who demonstrates the teaching excellence, collaborative leadership, and compassionate patient care that Dr. Kelly modeled so well.
