On March 10, Dr. Sherita Hill Golden, professor in the Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism, was awarded the 2026 Felicia Hill-Briggs Trailblazer in Health Equity Award from the American Diabetes Association in recognition of her leadership and transformative work advancing health access in diabetes prevention, awareness, research, clinical care, public health and education. Throughout her career, Dr. Golden has led research focused on identifying, understanding and eliminating diabetes and endocrine-related health disparities that prevent marginalized groups from accessing preventative care and treatments.
