Bayview Residents Receive American College of Cardiology Award

Dr. Farion Cooper and his team, including Drs. Gabriel Antonio Chavez Reyna, Evans Osuji, and Nageen Sherani, all residents in the Bayview Internal Medicine Residency Program, were selected by the American College of Cardiology Foundation Internal Medicine and Pediatric Cardiology Program Steering Committee to receive funding for their Community Demonstration Project. Over the next year, they will complete their proposal, “Nourish My Heart Baltimore: A Community-Based Nutrition Equity Initiative for Patients After Hospitalization for Acute Decompensated Heart Failure" and have a chance to present at the American College of Cardiology’s 76th Annual Scientific Session & Expo in Houston in April.
