December LEADer Award
Congratulations for Marian Asiedu, Nelson 7 Nurse Manager, for receiving the JHH LEADer Award. This award is designed to recognize managers who live our core values. Marian is a transformational leader who encourages her staff to be the best every day. She is actively involved with projects on the unit and in the department, including the Nelson 7 Service Excellence Committee and the Patient and Family Advisory Council. Marian demonstrates curiosity daily and acts a role model by helping to lead the tele-sitter pilot in the DOM. She encourages her staff to be solution-driven and gives them the freedom to try new projects and ideas. Marian is an active mentor to all of her staff, and is always present on the unit. Marian truly believes that nothing is impossible and is willing to take risks in order to make Nelson 7 a better place to work.
