This year, the American Society of Nephrology (ASN) established the Mid-Career Awards Program to recognize mid-career clinicians, educators, health professionals and researchers who have made outstanding contributions to nephrology and/or demonstrated exemplary service to society. Three faculty members from the Department of Medicine have been selected to receive these inaugural awards. Only two individuals across the country were selected in each category.
Deidra Crews, associate professor in the Division of Nephrology, won the ASN Distinguished Leader Award.
Geetha Duvuru, associate professor in the Division of Nephrology, won the ASN Distinguished Clinical Service Award.
Stephen Sozio, associate professor in the Division of Nephrology, won the ASN Distinguished Educator Award.
