Amita Gupta, professor in the Division of Infectious Diseases, is a protocol chair for a large international Phase 3 clinical trial sponsored by the NIH. The trial will compare delamanid with isoniazid for tuberculosis prevention among household contacts of MDR-TB patients, and will include children, adolescents and adults. The Indo-JHU Clinical Research Partnership in Pune, India, will conduct the trial at the Byramjee Jeejeebhoy Government Medical College. The trial will be conducted in at least 12 countries at more than 27 clinical research sites.
