Dr. Andrea Fava, fellow in the Division of Rheumatology, has received the 2020 Distinguished Fellow Award from the American College of Rheumatology. The Distinguished Fellow Award recognizes up to ten clinical and research fellows who are in a rheumatology fellowship training program and who have performed meritoriously.
Dr. Fava is the fifth consecutive recipient of this award from the Johns Hopkins Rheumatology Fellowship. Previous recipients have included Nadia Morgan, Eric Gapud, Brit Adler and Dana DiRenzo.
Also of note, three Rheumatology fellows were appointed to committees of the American College of Rheumatology:
- Max Konig was appointed to the Committee on Research
- Eric Dein was appointed to RheumPAC
- Lauren Smith was appointed to the Division Director's Special Committee
