Dr. Sumeska Thavarajah, assistant professor in the Division of Nephrology, was appointed a member of the national Board of Directors of the National Kidney Foundation. The board consists of leaders in their communities who have been affected by kidney disease. They meet three times a year to oversee fiduciary, fundraising and governance responsibilities for the foundation. Dr. Thavarajah will serve a three-year term as a board member.
