Dr. Mark Soloski, professor in the Division of Rheumatology, received the Fondazione CON IL SUD Award from the Fulbright Scholar Program to conduct research on tick-borne diseases in Sardinia, Italy as well as teach in immunological sciences.
Dr. Soloski is one of over 800 U.S. citizens who will teach, conduct research, and/or provide expertise abroad for the academic year through the Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic the award will be made during the 2021-2022 academic year. Recipients of Fulbright awards are selected on the basis of academic and professional achievement, as well as record of service and demonstrated leadership in their respective fields.
