The Primary Ciliary Dyskinesia Foundation (PCDF) recently approved the site application for Johns Hopkins to become a PCDF Clinical and Research Center site in recognition of its dedication to accelerating research, improving diagnosis and ensuring access to quality care for individuals with primary ciliary dyskinesia (PCD). The site spans the Departments of Medicine and Pediatrics, led by Dr. Dan Belz, assistant professor in the Division of Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine, on the adult side and Dr. Peter Mogayzel, Professor of Pediatrics, on the children's side. It will be one of just 11 accredited centers for both adults and children worldwide, pending a site visit in the spring.
