Lautzenheiser to Step Down as Chief Administrative Officer

Matthew Lautzenheiser will step down as the DOM’s Chief Administrative Officer to become Chief Operating Officer of the University of Maryland Faculty Physicians Inc. His last day will be March 7.

Matt has been an invaluable asset to the DOM leadership team long before becoming Chief Administrative Officer. His guidance has proven instrumental throughout the COVID-19 pandemic and changes in departmental leadership. Over the past 23 years, he has served as a division administrator, associate administrator of finance, clinical administrator, and in each role, he has shown an unparalleled level of commitment and service. It is hard to imagine the DOM and even Hopkins without him. Although it is bittersweet to see him go, we are incredibly proud of Matt's tenure here and thrilled for him as he embarks on this new endeavor. Matt’s selection for this promotion is a testament to his excellence and dedication.

Please join me in thanking Matt for all he has done for the DOM. Details about the search for our next DOM clinical department administrator will be forthcoming.
