This year the DOM Task Force on Women’s Careers in Academic Medicine is hosting Dr. Hala Sabry, DO, MBA, an emergency medicine physician and founder of the Physician Moms Group. Dr. Sabry’s leadership has transformed the Physician Moms Group, which includes over 120,000 women physicians across over 100 countries, into a route for advocacy, catalyzing research efforts to document and address the systemic barriers faced by women in medicine. She also founded the 1% Women’s Club- a transformative initiative dedicated to providing an inclusive, supportive community where successful, high-earning women of all industries can navigate the complexities of sustained success.
The evening will begin with a short cocktail hour starting at 5:30 p.m13th Annual Women in Medicine Honorary Dinner. Entrees will be served at 6:30 p.m. followed by a program of speakers at 7 pm. We will be announcing winners of the Susan M. MacDonald Sponsorship Award at the dinner.
