Dr. Theodore Iwashyna, professor in the Division of Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine, was recently named on the 2025 STATUS List featuring 50 influential people shaping the future of health and life sciences across biotech, medicine, health care, policy and health tech. He was recognized as a leader in the fight to make pulse oximeters more equitable and for authoring a prominent paper showing the devices were less likely to work on people with darker skin.
