U.S. News & World Report released its Best Hospitals 2026–27 rankings, naming The Johns Hopkins Hospital to the Honor Roll as one of the top 20 hospitals in the nation. The hospital is also ranked #1 in Maryland and in the Baltimore metropolitan area.
The Johns Hopkins Hospital’s strong performance extends across its specialty rankings, with four DOM medical specialties placing among the top 10 in their respective fields, including Rheumatology, which was ranked #1 for the 22nd consecutive year.
This year, U.S. News introduced state and regional rankings in four specialties where The Johns Hopkins Hospital was ranked #1 in Cardiology, Heart and Vascular Surgery in Maryland and the Baltimore metropolitan area.
