This course is for global health workers on gender-based violence, and the first module includes case studies from India. Confronting Gender-based Violence: Global Lessons with Case Studies from India is a free Massive, Open, Online course (MOOC) that will run from September 7 through October 17 and registration is now open. The course is designed for social workers, physicians, nurses, midwives, community health workers, counselors and other healthcare workers to help them assess, treat and care for patients who are survivors of gender based violence. The material is also relevant for public health practitioners, policymakers and researchers who want to better address gender-based violence (GBV) in their patient and client populations and to understand more about GBV and its health impact.
