Tiffani Panek, division administrator of the Division of Hospital Medicine at Bayview, was recently elected to be the vice president of the Society of Hospital Medicine's (SHM) Maryland Chapter and became the only practice administrator currently in chapter leadership. Tiffani has attended the SHM Leadership Academy in Austin, Texas, received their Certificate of Leadership and been involved in the Practice Administrator's Committee since she began working in the Division of Hospital Medicine alongside Dr. Eric Howell, a SHM board member. In her leadership role, she hopes to unite the SHM with the Practice Administrator's Committee and local chapters to uphold the SHM's mission to promote exceptional care of hospitalized patients.
