Inspire Baltimore’s Aspiring Health Care Professionals This Summer with MERIT

Talented high school students across Baltimore dream of becoming health care professionals. You can help make their dreams a reality. Volunteer this summer with MERIT, a non-profit education program that partners with Johns Hopkins to transform under-represented students into health care leaders.

Clinicians: Allow a MERIT Scholar to shadow you for three hour blocks at your convenience this summer. MERIT’s rising juniors shadow different clinicians each day from June 26-July 25. MERIT takes care of all medical professionalism and HIPAA training, compliance paperwork and scheduling. All you need to do is fill out this availability survey.

Researchers: Host a Scholar in your lab this summer for three hours a day from June 26-July 26. MERIT’s rising seniors complete a five-week mentored research project typically supervised by a graduate student, post-doc or research assistant. Scholars can also assist with any projects being done in the lab. Email [email protected] to sign up or learn more.
