Kunchok Dorjee, research fellow in the Division of Infectious Diseases, was selected to receive the 2018 Norman H. Edelman Alumni Achievement Award by the Program in Public Health at Stony Brook University where he received his master's in public health. Kunchok was selected in part due to his work implementing the Zero TB Project in Tibet where he screened children in schools and a disability center for TB, finding that about 50 percent of them have had TB in the past.
Kunchok was honored at the graduation ceremony this week where he served as featured alumni speaker.
