Enjoy a meal out and contribute to a good cause. On Thursday, September 17, over 50 Baltimore restaurants will participate in Dining Out for Life and donate a portion of their proceeds to help Moveable Feast raise funds to support patients with life-threatening illnesses.
For those of you on the East Baltimore campus, helping out is as easy as lunching at Atwater’s!
Moveable Feast is a 25-year-old Baltimore nonprofit that provides nutritious meals to those with life-threatening illnesses who live on low incomes. The services of Moveable Feast are highly integrated into the support for Hopkins HIV and oncology patients, but are available to all Hopkins patients that qualify. Led by Cindy Sears, professor in the Division of Infectious Diseases and Moveable Feast president, the organization served 780,000 meals to those in need in 2014, predominantly in Baltimore City and surrounding counties.
