Eric Howell, associate professor and director of the Division of Hospital Medicine, has been named a Master in Hospital Medicine by the Society of Hospital Medicine (SHM). Eric is now one of only 21 hospitalists worldwide to hold this distinction along with Bob Wachter, also known as the father of hospital medicine, and Larry Wellikson, CEO of the SHM.
