Older Americans Independence Center Request for Proposals

The JHU Claude D. Pepper Older Americans Independence Center (OAIC) is seeking proposals from faculty researchers for studies related to frailty and late-life decline as articulated in the two requests for proposals linked below. Successful applicants would receive salary, research core support and mentorship in aging and frailty research (biological, clinical, translational and epidemiological) through one of the following OAIC funding mechanisms:

  • OAIC Pilot / Exploratory Studies Core (Pilot studies)
  • OAIC Research Education Core (junior faculty support)

OAIC-supported faculty members have been extraordinarily successful over the past five years, with a strong record of subsequent K or R awards that stem directly from the science and career enhancement produced as part of OAIC support.
