We have closed the books on fiscal year, and the development office raised $23,715,115 exceeding the goal of $22,700,000.
We had 321 personal visits with donors or prospective donors, which was an increase of 56 people from 265 in fiscal year ’15.
Three of our top gifts were:
- $1 million from the Jerome L. Greene Foundation Inc. in Rheumatology to enhance research and discovery
- $1 million from the Dalio Foundation, Inc. for Mark Donowitz’s research in Gastroenterology and Hepatology
- $1 million from Dr. Huayi Zhang for Rheumatology/Myositis Discovery Fund
Johns Hopkins Medicine benefits from a strong tradition of philanthropy, especially from grateful patients. The development office also works with foundations and corporations who want to partner on specific projects. Thank you to the many faculty and staff members who work with the development office to facilitate these ongoing relationships.
If you have any questions, or would like to speak with a member of the development office staff about a fundraising priority for fiscal year ‘17, please contact Ashlyn Sowell, senior director of development at 410-955-9880 or [email protected].
