Leadership Spotlight
WELL's monthly Leadership Spotlight aims to celebrate individuals across the Department of Medicine who make a difference through everyday leadership. Leadership is not limited to formal roles, and eligibility is open to all levels of staff, faculty, and trainees who exhibit leadership through mentorship, collaboration, inclusion, or support for team well-being. Judy Foster, assistant administrator in the Division of Cardiology, is our October Leadership Spotlight recipient.

“Judy is an inspirational leader. What stands out most to me is that she never asks her team to do something she wouldn't do herself, and that kind of leadership builds real trust. Even while managing day-to-day operations across her clinics in Cardiology, she still makes time to invest in staff engagement and morale, which isn't always easy given how busy her role is. She is loyal to her division and her team, often putting in extra hours to make sure things get done the right way, not just the fast way. She takes real pride and ownership in the quality of her work, and that attention to detail sets a strong example for the rest of the team. She leads by doing, not just by directing, and that's what makes her so respected by the people who work alongside her.”
