Medical Student Research Symposium Seeking Judges

The student organizing committee for the Medical Student Research Symposium would like to invite faculty members to act as judges for the 9th annual event on Friday, February 10, 2017 in the Armstrong Medical Education Building. The turnout from medical students remains amazing, with around 10 podium presentations, 40 oral presentations and 90 poster presentations last year. As we attempt to provide all those students involved in the event with presentation experience as well as impactful feedback, MSRS needs even more faculty support.

We are seeking help with any or all of the following:

Podium Presentation judges: 8 podium presentations. February 10, 2016 12-2 p.m.

Poster Presentation judges: 5-6 posters to visit, listen to a brief 2-3 minute student presentation and provide informal feedback. February 10, 2016 around 2-3:30 p.m.. [Open to residents and fellows as well as faculty.]

Concurrent Oral Presentation judges: Five 10-minute oral presentations in concurrent small group rooms. February 10, 2016 3:30-4:45 p.m.

ALL JUDGING (AND AWARDS) WILL BE CATEGORY SPECIFIC – Each faculty judge will be assigned to one of the following categories: Basic Science, Ethics and the Art of Medicine, Clinical Science, Public Health and Community Service and History of Medicine.

Please take 30 seconds to respond with your judging preferences: https://jhmi.co1.qualtrics.com/SE/?SID=SV_8GNrmPE1Uikv1ZP

Thank you for your interest in supporting medical education by acting as a research judge. Please send any questions to jhu.msrs@gmail.com.
