The DOM took home all but one of the Institute for Excellence in Education's (IEE) Awards for Outstanding Achievement at their ceremony last on Friday, March 31. These peer-nominated awards recognize outstanding educators and acknowledge great achievements in education, and we are so proud to have so many honorees from our department.
Congratulations to all of the following faculty members:
- Belinda Chen, instructor in Bayview Internal Medicine, won the Teaching Award for Part-Time Faculty
- Sanjay Desai, Rab Razzak, Richa Gupta, Michelle Sharpe, Jenn Jackson and Kelliann Dell won the Educational Program Award for the Osler Wellness Program
- Lenny Feldman, associate professor in GIM, won the Educational Scholarship Award
- Bruce Leff, professor in Geriatrics, won the Leadership and Mentoring Award
- David Levine, professor in GIM, won the Martin D. Abeloff Award for Lifetime Achievement in Medical and Biomedical Education
- Brent Petty, associate professor in Clinical Pharmacology, won the Teaching Award for Faculty at Rank Greater than 10 Years
- Heather Sateia, instructor in GIM, won the Lisa J. Heiser Award for Junior Faculty Contribution in Education
- Sammy Zakaria, assistant professor in Cardiology, won the Teaching Award for Faculty at Rank Fewer than 10 Years
