The 2017 Mid-Atlantic Capital Cardiology Symposium (MACCS): Controversies & Challenges in Cardiology took place in November with a great turn out of DOM award winners:
- Stephen Chelko, research associate in the Division of Cardiology, won the Capital Young Investigator Award for Basic/Preclinical
- Olurotimi Mesubi, fellow in Cardiology, won a Best Poster Award from the MACCS as well as the Melvin L. Markus Young Investigator Award in Basic Cardiovascular Sciences from the American Heart Association.
- Kaustubha Patil, fellow in Cardiology, also won a Best Poster Award at the MACCS.
