Roger Blumenthal, professor in the Division of Cardiology, was recently awarded the 2019 Arthur Agatston Award from the Society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography (SCCT). He was recognized for his contributions to the optimal management of ischemic heart disease, noninvasive detection of coronary atherosclerosis and the development of new strategies to optimize the management of CVD risk factors.
The annual SCCT 2019 Scientific Sessions will be held in Baltimore in July and several Department of Medicine faculty will be speaking including Wendy Post, Michael Blaha, Erin Michos and Seth Martin.
