Juliet Allen is Here to Help with Epic

In her role as business solutions analyst, Juliet Allen, MSN, RN, focuses on improving our department’s physician and advanced practice provider experience in and utilization of Epic. She works in close collaboration with DOM faculty to identify clinical functionality concerns, training issues and optimization opportunities to enhance quality and promote proficiency in Epic.

Juliet does not replace the Epic Helpdesk, but she is here to help address training needs and facilitate solutions to systemic Epic problems that detract from a provider’s joy in medicine. Please feel free to contact Juliet with suggestions.

Juliet earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Villanova University and her master’s in nursing leadership and administration from Notre Dame of Maryland University.

Prior to joining the Hopkins family in 2001, she served as the ambulatory nurse manager for Family Healthcare Centers at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas, providing operational support of multiple community-based ambulatory specialties.

Juliet then joined Johns Hopkins Bayview as ambulatory services manager II, supporting Maternal Child Health and several DOM clinics in a variety of leadership roles. In 2011, she transferred to the Hopkins Epic Team and translated clinical and business requirements into workflows and as project manager for supply and charge capture configuration, end user documentation and federal regulatory compliance directives.
