Garima Sharma, assistant professor in the Division of Cardiology, was re-selected to serve on the American College of Cardiology (ACC) Women In Cardiology Leadership Council for a period of three years beginning April 1.
The council is working with ACC Diversity and Inclusion Task Force and ACC Media Relations to highlight results of the 2019 Global Cardiology Professional Life Survey for which Garima us the PI at the ACC’s 2020 Scientific Sessions. This global survey provides insight into practice patterns, promotions, gender equity, opportunity equity, discrimination and mental illness among cardiologists worldwide. This the first ever global data on cardiologists and compares the U.S. with the E.U., Africa, South America, Asia and the Middle East.
