Drs. Luciana Borio, assistant professor in the Division of Infectious Diseases, and Celine Gounder, former fellow in the Division of Infectious Diseases, were recently appointed to President-Elect Biden's COVID-19 Advisory Board. They are two of the five women on the 13-member board made up of a diverse and experienced group of doctors and scientists. The advisory board will help shape the new administration's approach to managing the surge in reported COVID-19 infections as well as ensuring the safety and efficacy of potential vaccines.
