Dr. Selvi Rajagopal, assistant professor in the Division of General Internal Medicine, has been awarded a grant from the JHU Innovation Fund for Community Safety. The grant provides funding for three years to support youth and young adult engagement to improve community safety in Baltimore City through programs that support social emotional learning, STEM and workforce training and employment opportunities. Three organizations comprise the collective, all led by Baltimore City natives who address different groups of youth in East Baltimore. Dr. Rajagopal will help guide programming and outcome evaluations with a health/wellness perspective.
