Four from the DOM Inducted into Distinguished Teaching Society

The Distinguished Teaching Society of the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, also known as DTS, is a student-organized honor society for outstanding clinical educators. The society utilizes a rigorous, literature-based, student-created rubric for judging student-submitted nominations for induction into the society. The DTS Judge Committee then reviews nominations from the student body to determine the inductees this year.

After a rigorous judging process, the below individuals from the DOM were selected for meeting the highest standards in clinical teaching excellence.

  • Dr. Norman Dy, instructor in the Division of General Internal Medicine
  • Dr. Kai-Li Liang, senior resident in the Bayview Internal Medicine Residency Program
  • Dr. Ty Sweeney, senior resident in the Bayview Internal Medicine Residency Program
  • Dr. John Woller, assistant professor in the Division of Hospital Medicine at JHH
